Pregnancy Mechanics Completed!! Yaaaaay!

Ok i know it's been awhile but i have been working on the game i swear! Mostly finishing up the battle system while getting work underway for the first mini series comic (Shout out to my good friend Cicada Media for all the great work, you rock!)

One of the things that i had trouble figuring out was how to implement fetal pregnancy and egg pregnancy into a card game in a way that worked.... it took a bit but i finally came up with a system which i will explain a bit  (btw don't worry there will be an actual manual eventually)

each creature, avatar, or lucid dream Chrystal (player) has fertility stats. they are anus, egg, sperm, and womb.

Womb: those with this value can become pregnant and give fetal birth. this value plays a few roles from determining how easy it is to become pregnant, how many turns it takes to give birth, how many eggs can be fit inside of it, it also plays a part during the labor process

Sperm: those with this value can do a few things. they can Impregnate other cards with a womb value, cause the abnormal status effects cream pie and cum inflation, and also help advance the hatching and birth of eggs...

Egg: this value is used to determine the number of eggs a creature carries. every time it orgasms it deposits one egg until it has no more. the number is also color coded to reveal the size of the eggs that are being carried by that creature.

a green number means that the eggs a creature carries are small. normally these creatures will carry a larger number of eggs since they are so small and it normally takes 2 turns for this type of egg to hatch once implanted

a yellow number means that the eggs a creature carries are medium sized. normally these creatures will carry a good number of eggs but not too many since they are not too big and it normally takes 4 turns for this type of egg to hatch once implanted.

a red number means that the eggs a creature carries are large. normally these creatures will carry only a few eggs since they are so large and it normally takes 8 turns for this type of egg to hatch once implanted

Anus: this value is only used to determine the size of a creatures anal cavity. if sperm or eggs are implanted then the their value is subtracted until it matches the anal value at that point the creature can't act until the value goes down by eggs being hatched or by sperm being expelled each turn.

Here's how you put it together:

a card with sperm uses a sexual attack on a creature with a womb value. when that creature orgasms you flip a coin 2 times. if the owner of the card with the sperm value calls the flip correctly then you double the sperm value each time it happens. So a 2 can become a 4 which can become an 8 with two good coin flips. you then take that  result and subtract it from the womb value of the defending creature. if the womb value hits 0 then the defending creature becomes pregnant.

once a creature is pregnant then each turn you subtract the value of the sperm from the womb value until it hits 0 once again and at point labor begins.

during the labor turn you flip a coin twice just like when determining if a card is pregnant doubling the sperm value each time and subtracting... if the result does not bring the womb value to 0 then that card takes damage in the amount of the original sperm value.

if womb value did not hit 0 it stays at the number it came to last turn and you flip two more coins hoping to bring the womb to 0... if it does hit 0 birth occurs or if it doesn't hit 0 then the defending creature takes more damage...  rinse and repeat...

eggs are a bit different in that they are laid when ever a creature orgasms. once laid depending on the size of the egg a number of turns go by and one of the eggs hatch and are born. If another creature with sperm orgasms with the defending creature while they are carrying an egg then you subtract the sperm value from the eggs color value and birth occurs that much quicker....

you do not go through labor like you do with a fetal birth instead the value of the egg is taken away from your toughness (stamina)

That's the basis of Rem's pregnancy system for now. of course things may change as i rethink things but this is a huge step forward... More to come stay tuned :-)

Battle flow and phases

Ok so the next part I thought i should explain was how turns work and the parts that make up a turn. Right now there are  7 phases to each turn with one player taking turn after another.. this of course may change in the future.....

Battle flow- turn phases

Draw phase- Player draws one card from their deck

Chrystal generation/set mind cards-  The Player's Lucid dream crystal generates Neutral energy cards and you can also place colored energy on the field for use by discarding neutral energy.

Effects phase- During this phase apply all per turn effects unless the card that applied this effect states otherwise

Set magic/monster/field phase-  place desired cards onto the field for play as long as you meet the requirements to place them

Battle phase-  this is where you declare attacks on your opponent in an attempt to directly damage them using your creature and or avatar... Your opponent during this step will attempt to block your attack using their own creatures, avatars, and or magic cards.

Fertility/birth phase- During this phase certain sexual effect are decided... Birth, becoming pregnant, for now i think this phase will revolve mainly around pregnancy

Resolve phase- you can set creatures, avatars, or magic cards before turn end

Basic game mechanics (yeeess they exist)

So how do I even play this grand idea of a game you ask? Well you're in luck because I'm gonna explain it to you right now :-)

we start off with two opponents facing off against each other on each side of the field. they each have a lucid dream crystal which serves as their main card. It has a Mp (mind point) value and if that value hits 0 you lose the match. Mp is deducted in a number of ways mainly by being attacked by creatures

to protect yourself and your Mp you will have a deck of cards consisting of creatures, magical spells, dreamscape, and avatar cards which you will have to summon to protect you while trying to deplete your opponents Mp.

Below is a diagram of the battle field

                                                                   [LDC]       [NE]

                                                                            [  A  ]

                        [D]                                                                                                     [D]
                                                                           [field]

                                   [    c    ]       [     c    ]        [   c    ]       [   c    ]       [   c     ]
                                   [    s    ]       [    s     ]         [   s    ]       [   s    ]        [    s    ]

                                   [CE]      [CE]                   [   A   ]          [CE]         [CE]

                                                                    [LDC]        [NE]

[LDC] Lucid dream crystal- here is where you place your Lucid dream crystal card, there are different kinds of these card each having various Mind point values and effects, they can not be changed mid battle and if the Mp value on the card hits 0 you lose

[NE] Neutral energy - needed in order to set color energy cards on the field as well as play certain magic cards and other creatures. Neutral energy is gathered by lucid dream crystals and are consumed when used

[CE] Color energy - energy needed to play creatures, avatars, and some magic cards. Color card come in red, blue, purple, yellow, green, white and black each color representing an element or emotion. Color energies are not consumed when used but instead put into an engaged position for the rest of a given turn not being usable until the next turn when it becomes  un engaged. To set one onto the field for use you must use Neutral energy.

[A] Avatar - are exceptionally powerful creatures that the player can transform into. When in play  creatures attack the avatar instead of the lucid dream crystal card preventing mp damage. when attacked directly avatars lose Neural link points. when neural link points hit 0 the avatar is destroyed and sent to the discard pile. Avatars have powerful abilities that either increase neural link points or decrease neural link points depending on the skill... The main downside, however, is that your opponent may have a transformation spell that will force you to take on an avatar they own that has abilities that will hurt you and your gameplay as well as cause you Mp damage. only one avatar can exist on one side of the field at a time.

[S] Spell cards - are cards that cause various effects on game play depending on the situation adversely affecting game play in a wide numbers of ways from summoning creatures to restoring mind points.... to activate you need a combination of neutral and color energy depending on the card

[C] Creatures - or others you summon into battle to do your bidding. each creature has it's own stats including attacks, toughness, orgasm tolerance and so on... they also have their own abilities which can turn the tide of battle.. they are summoned by using color energy and neutral energy

[D] Dreamscape -  are cards that have effects on the entire field. these effects can be accessed by either player as long as they met the conditions having positive or negative effects depending on the card. Only one dreamscape can exist on the field at one time. using a new dreamscape erases the old one...

OK sooo this took waay more text then i thought it would... so in order to save everyone's sanity i will stop here for now and continue another day explaining how the game work. if you are reading this please spread the word on Beyond Rem ...

A little on the world of Beyond Rem

So... what is Beyond Rem exactly? is it just a game or is there a back story behind it?

To begin REM normally stands for Rapid eye Movement or the part of sleep where you dream, that deep sleep where you feel as if you can escape to another world. In Beyond Rem you have the real world and the world of REM. In the real world people have begun to fall into mysterious coma's by hundreds of cases some wake up some don't and some wake up seemingly a different person...

What is happening is that the victims fall into a sleep so deep they pass REM sleep. Beyond Rem sleep the dreams become lucid and incredibly life like. You awake in the world of Rem. A place where fantasy creatures, the things of dreams actually exist. their is a whole world separated into lands each with their own way of life and customs.

The people who come here from the real world are called the Lucid and they have the power to use magic in various forms through the power of the mind, similar to how you can control some dreams with your mind. they can summon creatures, change the surroundings around them, summon weapons, even transform others and themselves.

some are able to make it back to the real world and awaken from the coma that is caused by being in Rem. Others, fall victim to the creatures or end up being possessed by residents of Rem who want to use their body to return to the real world and cause havoc.

When a Lucid arrives in Rem they come with a diamond shaped jewel that comes in different forms. it could be a necklace or bracelet or ring, some jewels are even embedded in their bodies . Inside of the Jewel is a swirling substance that is believed to be that persons soul. The jewel can not be removed but a creature or person can fuse with the jewel and change it's owner or posses them if their willpower gets weak enough...

I plan on writing multiple stories based in the world of Rem and having them turned into comics as more is revealed about the game...

To Fap or not to Fap that may be a question!

So i know one of the first things I would ask would be what fetishes can I expect?
Well here is the growing list of what i plan to put in the game.

-Keep in mind that since the game will be based on individual card battles if there is a fetish you don't find to your liking you can avoid fighting opponents who use those kinds of cards-

-Futanari
-Cum inflation
-Pregnancy
-Creature Birth
- sex with humaniod beings (beegirls werewolfs and the like)
-Ovipositor impregation
-bdsm themes
-mind control
-gender transformation
-tentacle sex
-creature sex
-combat rape
-bimbofication

and much more :-)

as a matter of fact everything is fair game except maybe things that will create legal issues....

New erotic card battle in development!

I've always been a fan of strategy games, rpgs and the like. That includes card games like Yu-gi-oh and Magic. With hentai gaming having so much to offer these days I wondered why no one made a card battle with actual hentai game play and not just some fan service filler sex scene that's in all reality has nothing to do with the game or just pictures of hot anime girls who do nothing.

So with that said i decided to embark on a journey to create a card game, a hentai card game! One where you see all the naughty fetish stuff we all know and fap to, right in the game!

What kind of card style would you use. Sure you can go conventional and use might and magic, or now you can use sex as a weapon and leave your opponent to aroused and horny (and even pregnant) to fight back effectively...

Throw in a wonderful world and story to go along with it Beyond Rem with a lot of work and a bit a luck will be one of the best hentai based card games ever... All in English :-)

Ok, so that's all well and good but what is this going to cost me you ask? Are you going to ask me to go to some crowd funding website, donate 40 bucks a month for a underdeveloped game that might not even see the light of day all when we I don't even know who you are or what you can get done?

While at one point I may ask for donations to help drive things along it wouldn't be fair of me to ask for anything now... Honestly what i want to do now is build Beyond Rem, let everyone form their opinions and show you all that I am not gonna let weird life things get in the way and use that as an excuse to take 10 years to make a game....

I plan on making a comic series, a play by post forum version of the game for testing and to introduce you all to REM. which I plan to have illustrated and even animated a bit as time goes on. My endgame to all of this, is to eventually make on MMORPG version of Beyond Rem where you can create your own character and dive into the world of REM and make moral decisions that will decide the Fate of Rem and the Real world! but thats is a long way away... for now baby steps..
